Sofitel Sydney Darling Harbour

With its sleek design, spacious rooms appointed with the finest French amenities, stunning infinity-edge pool, and breathtaking views, it is not difficult to see why Sofitel Sydney Darling Harbour is one of only six flagship Sofitel’s worldwide.

For all the other must-try foodie spots in Sydney:

THE ROOM.

Each of the property’s 590 luxurious guest rooms and suites features the latest technology and floor-to-ceiling windows which flood the room with natural light and truly maximise the incredible views (of either the city or Darling Harbour).

The contemporary design with chic French touches that can be seen throughout the hotel too extends to its rooms - from the mismatched assortment of photographs that hang on the wall as you enter, providing a subtle nod to the south of France, to the bespoke Balmain amenities which feature in the stylish bathroom.

AMENITIES.

A slice of the French Rivera in the heart of the city. Overlooking Darling Harbour and Sydney’s skyline, Sofitel Sydney Darling Harbour’s outdoor infinity-edge pool is undoubtedly one of the best pools in Australia.

Ride the elevator to Level 35, the very top floor of the hotel, and you’ll discover the hotel’s spectacular and exclusive executive lounge, known as Club Millésime. Open only to guests staying within select rooms and suites (or top-tier Accor loyalty members), Club Millésime offers guests access to a luxurious private retreat in the sky with a suite of benefits, including complimentary à la carte breakfast, plated afternoon tea (Le Goûter) and evening drinks and canapés (Apéro Chic).

DINING.

ATELIER BY SOFITEL

The hotel’s signature (and only) restaurant, Atelier - French for ‘an artist’s workshop or studio’ is a French-inspired grill offering the freshest locally-sourced produce from across the region. It is a cavernous space fitting for the size of the hotel and is filled with contemporary furniture, elegant wooden floors, and beautiful views overlooking Darling Harbour.

CHAMPAGNE BAR

Located on the hotel’s third floor, the simply and aptly named Champagne Bar offers an extensive collection of some of the finest French Champagne produced in the world and some of the best views of Sydney. The bar’s most exclusive (and expensive) pour, valued at $22,000, is the 2002 Louis Roederer Cristal Jeroboam; encased in gold and one of only 400 bottles ever made. Otherwise, settle for a bottle a little cheaper and have your Champagne opened by a sabre in the French art of Sabrage, where your bottle is opened using a sword.
